Administrator for online and retail music store.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to administer our online stores (2) and run the retail shop they are based in.

We specialise in the sale and repair of the violin family of instruments and their accessories. The shop caters for musicians of all standards beginner to professional. The majority of the work involves processing, packing and dispatching online orders. In addition you would be required to answer telephone enquiries and take telephone orders. Maintaining stock levels and editing the websites also forms part of the job description.

You would also be required to serve customers in our retail shop. The shop is highly specialised and is not one which has a continuous flow of browsers or trivial enquiries.

Essential qualifications:
A high standard of general education
Excellent internet skills and familiarity with all types of online stores and services.
A pleasant and confident telephone manner.

Preferable qualifications:
Experience in playing an orchestral stringed instrument
An interest in classical music would be an advantage and make the job more interesting.

Hours: 25-37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri plus 1 Saturday per month payable as overtime or time off in lieu
Starting salary: £12025-£18037 pro rata.
