A Croydon based furniture collection and delivery company require part-time Drivers & Porters to join its growing team.

The company specialise in the collection and delivery of new and used furniture and other types of large items that are sold in auction: online or at auction houses. The company deliver throughout London and the southeast.

The nature of the items transported require a great deal of care therefore the company are looking for careful and professional individuals with experience of handling large and sometimes heavy and awkward items.

The role would suit those with removals experience or those who have worked previously with the transportation of antiques and other furniture items.

Currently there are two positions open:

- Regular Saturday driver
- Part-time Porter required between 1-6 days per week depending on company schedule

There may be an opportunity for someone to work as a Porter in the week and Driver on Saturdays. Sunday work can be arranged to suit availability/willingness to work by successful applicant/s.

Driver Position Requirements:
- Drivers aged 25+ for insurance purposes (porters any age)
- Min 2 years exp driving 3.5t vans
- Min 2 years working handling furniture (removals or delivery)
- Evidence of a full clean UK driving licence held for at least 5 years

Porter Position Requirements:
- Min 1 year working handling furniture (removals or delivery)

Overall the company require fit and strong individuals who are motivated and have a ‘can-do’ attitude towards work.

Wage guide:

Driver: £8.50p.h.
Porter: £7p.h.

Typical day is 8.30am-6pm
