Epsom United Football Club was founded in 2006 and play in The Leatherhead and District Sunday Football League. Our goals were to establish ourselves in our first season and set a footing to start a second team in the next.
Season 2007 – 2008: The first team’s aim was to gain promotion and have a good cup run, we achieved promotion and played in both a semi final and a quarter final. The second team’s goal was to establish themselves in their division; although the season did not start as planned it finished exceptionally well and bodes well for this coming season.
The first team are looking to do well in division 2 in 2008 -09, and the cups, but need to strengthen the team with three or four very strong players.
The second team will be looking for promotion, plus a good cup run, and are consequently also looking to strengthen their team.
Epsom United is an extremely professional football club with long term aspirations, we train under flood lights on a Thursdays and play at Priest Hill, we are a friendly club but competitive.
We welcome contact from good footballers, with a good disciplinary attitude and a desire to win.
Training for the new season has already started on Thursdays at 7.30pm at Tattenham Recreation Ground, off Tattenham Way Surrey; this is while the light lasts. From September it will be at East Ewell under flood lights. Why not come down and meet us? Friendlies will start soon.
