Well established and successful web development company seeking PERL / MySQL programming enthusiast to augment small and friendly team. Work involves large database-driven web sites including retail/e-commerce. If you know PHP well, we've found that you'll have no problem tackling PERL

You will be working in direct contact with our clients, from our office, under supervision initially, rather than reporting to a project manager, thus excellent communication skills are essential, and an ability to put yourself in the customer's shoes, perhaps suggesting alternative ways of achieving their goals better rather than simply carrying out their instructions as given.

Full time role based in Putney (within easy reach of Putney BR and East Putney Tube). We are looking for a medium-to-long term commitment from someone with working rights in the UK for at least a year. Your future would involve a quarterly profit-share / bonus scheme after you have completed one year with us.

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, HTTP, and basic Unix an advantage, as would be basic Photoshop and Javascript, but you'll be evaluated mainly by your coding experience (not necessarily in a commercial context, but that would help).

Please include at least two examples of web projects you have worked on, including the scope of your involvement with the project, and any special difficulties or challenges you faced whilst working on them.

Salary £20,000 - £23,000 according to experience
