Walk-in Tui Na clinic - Chinese Medical Massage

11am - 1pm or 2pm – 4pm Every Tuesday £15 per treatment

Tui Na is a medical massage that is practised widely in hospitals in China and is quickly growing in popularity in the UK. This new clinic at Eastern Garden follows the clinical model as practised in China and will provide treatment at a reduced cost (£15) in a communal setting.

Advantages of this Tui Na walk-in clinic –
• shorter treatment times focused on problem areas
• no need to undress
• no need to book – just walk-in
• multiple practitioners working on patients
• It’s affordable! - £15 for a 25-30 min treatment

This clinic will be used as a specialist training opportunity for bodywork professionals to work on specific techniques and skills. You may have 1-3 practitioners working on you at any one time supervised by experienced Tui Na professionals. Supervisors will take a detailed case history before recommending a course of treatment.

In China, Tui Na is the medical intervention of choice for many problems including:
• Most pain syndromes:
• neck problems – eg cervical spondylosis
• pain of major and minor joints – arthritis, frozen shoulder etc
• tendon/ligament pain – RSI, carpal tunnel, sprains
• soft tissue pain – muscle strains, plantar fasciitis
• lower back problems – lumbar disc prolapse, strain, sciatica
• sporting injuries

About the supervisors:
Zarig Cooper - studied acupuncture and Tui Na at the LCTA in London. He has undergone further clinical training in London and at the Zhejiang Hospital of TCM in China where he experienced first hand the power and subtlety that can be achieved with dedicated training.

HaoRan Yang - Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine 2001- Liaoning University of TCM, China. Reached Senior therapist level, China 2006. Continues a family lineage of Tui Na doctors spanning 4 generations.

Guest supervisors and lecturers will also feature periodically to offer alternative approaches.
