Hello,

This film will be shot on super-8, taking influence from film noir, Humphrey Bogart and the paintings of Edward Hopper. It will be quite an experimental piece with equal attention paid to aesthetic elements as to narrative, although there is very much a story. The sound will come almost entirely from narration recorded at a later date. If you act in the piece, you may not be required to do the narration. For this reason, acting experience isn’t necessary (but it is preferred). A more detailed synopsis of the project is available on request.

Filming will take place in August and / or September in London. The filming schedule will depend on the actors that I end up using. It might be possible to get it done quite quickly if necessary.

I would like to see a picture so please include (at least) one. Please get in touch if you want to know more about the film or your character. The film will be operating on almost no budget, so I might not be able to pay you very much. An interest in the medium will hopefully mean that the project will be enjoyable regardless. This is also a good opportunity to expand your portfolio.
