Imagine Africa is a dynamic and fast growing travel company based in Clapham in South London. The company employs 10 people and arranges tailor made safari & beach holidays to East and Southern Africa, and the Indian Ocean.
We have a rare opening for an administration assistant to start immediately. The role involves a high level of concentration and attention to detail. The successful applicant will have a varied role, responsible for invoicing, operations, office management and the timely despatch of travel documents for up to five a small team of sales consultants.

You:
• Fluent English speaker (the role involves making long distance calls to our suppliers in the Africa and clear diction is essential)
• Confident telephone manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Accounts / Book Keeping experience is preferable
• Advanced level of computer literacy is vital - especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Highly motivated, organised and calm under pressure.
• Sociable, outgoing and with a good sense of humour
• Travel experience and knowledge of Africa is useful.
The Job:
• Be part of a team of 2 administration assistants and ensure that travel document delivery targets are met.
• Assist with the smooth running of the administration side of the business by booking accommodation and flights on behalf of our Sales team via email and over the phone.
• Accounts - responsible for supplier invoice payments (payments to hotels, airlines and safari lodges).
Help manage the stationary needs for the company and keep an eye on stock/order as appropriate
• Liase with both clients and suppliers on operational matters including confirmation of holiday arrangements.
• Answering the telephone for incoming calls, and transferring calls to other team members.
• The right candidate has the potential to get involved in other areas of the business including marketing, sales and website development.
• On completion of 1 years service there is at least one overseas familiarisation trip to Africa.
Hours: are Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:30 and Saturday every 8 weeks (6 per year)
Salary: 15,000 per annum.
Holiday: 20 days per annum
