Occupational Therapist needed in South East London to assess the needs of clients' adults and children with a temporary or permanent physical and/or mental disability and to provide for their psychological, physical and social rehabilitation.

You will be required to:

* Recommend the provision of suitable equipment for disabled people and where required, to design tailor-made equipment
* Follow through the provision of equipment, fitting this where necessary, and teaching techniques of use to client and carers
* Research and analyse the suitability, cost, safety and effectiveness of equipment and adaptations
* Determine necessary adaptations to clients homes and arrange for these to be carried out in liaison with professionals from a range of disciplines
* Advise clients who are having alterations done privately
* Assess client's needs for rehousing on disability grounds (including to sheltered housing or part III accommodation)
* Advise on the availability of suitable property/accommodation
* Accompany clients to view potential dwellings
* Monitor and respond to clients' needs in changing circumstances

Ideal candidate will have:

* At least 2 years experience within the OT field
* Worked within sheltered housing

£23 - £29 per hour dependent on experience.
