To the original poster, I'm a little woman in my 40's and would've taken on 5 of them if I had seen it, I have flattened a few blokes in the past due to feeling intimidated by rude and violent men, so learned some very good self-defence tricks that work well, I wish they were available to all fragile and vulnerable people and shame on the people meant to be helping the vulnerable nd obtaining money for charities to do so, whan in fact, in my broad experience, most money claimed goes in overheads and hardly anything to the folks in actual need.

The thugs have a an extemely peculiar reality that they don't believe they will age, take some solace that they will, perhaps the belief they won't age or become ill is because once they get to prison, the likelihood of them ever being truly free or successful in any way is deeply unlikely. Most of these thugs are a product of socialism and the evidence it doesn't work. The old man wouldn't have been just frightened, or outnumbered, but also sorry for the thugs, as they have no future, and are probably unloved and unwanted at home. Life is cheap to people like that. Even to some educated employed people like that. It is odd and horrific to people who have cherished their family and history to witness such thuggery - whoever they are- their actions speak for their familes and race/creed/colour and they need to take that into account also.
