The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is a leading centre for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. With its neighbour, the Institute of Neurology, it is a major international centre for research and training.

At present we are working in Partnership with Geneva Health to recruit a number of experienced critical care nurses for expanding in-patient services throughout the hospital.

This is a unique opportunity for nurses with a passion for neuroscience to work in the largest dedicated neuro critical care service in London. (8 neurosurgical ITU/4 HDU beds, 5 neuro-medical ITU beds) Nurses are encouraged to develop their practice and the following are offered within the units: Outreach, plasma exchange, sleep studies, complimentary therapies and bereavement follow up.

At all levels you will find a supportive nursing and multidisciplinary team. Your professional development is encouraged and facilitated by a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist and an Education Team for neurocritical care. Opportunities exist to undertake the critical care and neuro degree pathways, and a variety of courses can be accessed via City or Southbank Universities.
A minimum of 12 months acute experience in a hospital ward setting is essential, you will be keen to develop critical care skills and will participate in an individualised orientation including an introduction to ITU course
