Are you a qualified and experienced Mathematics teacher with recent experience teaching GCSE and A level or their equivalent?

Due to a maternity cover my client school, rated this year as “outstanding” by OFSTED has an opening within the Mathematics department for a January start to cover a maternity leave for 2 terms in the first instance. The position may last for 3 full terms and may even have permanent possibilities for the right candidate. The school are also flexible and can offer work immediately for an individual that is suitable and would like to start earlier than January.

The school is a large, multi-cultural and multi lingual comprehensive with almost 1,400 students on the role which includes 350 in an excellent 6th form. Results were excellent this year with students excelling and achieving above expectations in SAT’s, GCSE’s and A levels.

You will be responsible for teaching the full ability range from SEN, EAL and OXBRIDGE across year 7 – 13 including exam classes. You will be teaching double award science from year 7 – 11 and a suitably experienced teacher will also have the chance to teach some AS and A2. You must have high expectations of yourself and your students and be a detailed and organised planner of interactive lessons to engage all students’ regardless of ability level. All classes are fitted with smart boards and there is a wealth of resources, including an e-learning network for you to utilise.
