Asp.Net web developer for company based in Docklands, London
Web Hosting company based in Docklands, London requires an ASP.NET developer.
Must have:
• Excellent ASP.NET, preferably VB.NET with experience of Visual Studio 2008. C# is desirable as is web services experience. ASP Classic also required.
• CSS and HTML standards knowledge (XHTML, W3C etc)
• Good understanding of networks
• Understanding of Windows Server 2003. Windows Server 2008 a bonus
• Server Virtualisation knowledge with Microsoft Virtual Server a bonus but not essential
• A good working knowledge of Internet technologies, such as DNS, FTP, SMTP and such like
• Understand the process of domain registration and the way DNS servers interact along with Zone file knowledge (using MS DNS for example)
• Must be able to work with 3rd party APIs
• Must be a team player, willing to get their hands dirty in this young, dynamic web technologies company.
You will be responsible for developing new features for our existing line of products, plus picking up on existing code written in Classic ASP and .Net VB/C#. You’ll be a team player and happy to communicate with the workforce and comfortable speaking on the telephone to customers should the need arise. The office is casual and no need to wear and suit to the interview.
Ideally degree educated but hands on experience is what counts. We’d like to see examples of your web apps when you apply, online sites or web service examples. We’re looking for someone who is willing to grow with the company and learn with us.
We’re looking for people with at least 3 years experience in web development of this nature, plus any time spent at University if applicable. Office is based near Cross Harbour DLR station just near Canary Wharf, E14.
Salary: £20k - £30k depending on experience.
